Formula 1 spends three weekends in a row in the Americas this autumn: Austin's US Grand Prix on October 25, the Mexico City Grand Prix on November 1 and the race at Interlagos in São Paulo on November 8. They are rounds 18, 19 and 20 of 23, and for viewers in North America they are the most convenient races of the year, with every Grand Prix starting between noon and 4:00 PM ET. Below are the session times for all three weekends in Eastern Time, local time and UK time, from the season calendar data and, for Austin, checked against ESPN's listing.

The clock changes make these weekends trickier than usual. On October 25, race day in Austin, the UK and the rest of Europe turn their clocks back an hour. US clocks change a week later, on November 1, which is Mexico City race day. Mexico and Brazil do not change their clocks at all.

United States Grand Prix, Circuit of the Americas, Austin

Austin is in the Central time zone, an hour behind New York. This is a standard weekend with three practice sessions.

RaceSun 25 Oct4:00 PM3:00 PM8:00 PM

Note the UK column on Sunday. Saturday's qualifying is at 10:00 PM British Summer Time, but by race day the UK is on GMT, so the race is at 8:00 PM, five hours after Austin instead of six. In the US, ESPN lists every session on Apple TV, which holds the F1 rights there this season.

The Circuit of the Americas first held the race in 2012. Its first corner, at the top of a steep climb from the start line, is one of the best places on the calendar for a first-lap mix-up, so it is worth being on time for the start.

Mexico City Grand Prix, Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez

This is the weekend where the clocks really matter. On Friday and Saturday, Mexico City is two hours behind New York. On Sunday, after the US clocks go back, it is only one hour behind.

So the race starts at 3:00 PM ET, an hour earlier on US clocks than the Austin race a week before. If your phone or computer has changed its clock overnight, the converted time on our pages will already be right.

The track sits more than 2,200 metres above sea level, the highest on the calendar. The thin air reduces downforce and makes cooling harder, and the long straight to the first corner makes the start one of the longest drags of the year. The final sector runs through the Foro Sol baseball stadium, where the crowd is packed close to the track.

São Paulo Grand Prix weekend, Interlagos

A week later, the US is on Eastern Standard Time and São Paulo is two hours ahead of it. The UK is three hours ahead of São Paulo.

RaceSun 8 Nov12:00 PM2:00 PM5:00 PM

The race at noon ET is the earliest of the three for US viewers and the best-timed of the three for Europe. Interlagos, officially the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, is one of the shortest laps of the season and often has rain in November, which can turn a qualifying session upside down.

What none of these weekends has

None of the three is a sprint weekend this year, according to the calendar data. That means three hour-long practice sessions, qualifying on Saturday and the Grand Prix on Sunday, with no Saturday sprint race. With time for only two sessions, pick qualifying and the race.

After the Americas

The season then has three rounds left. Las Vegas is on Saturday, November 21, with the race at 8:00 PM local time, which is 11:00 PM ET and 4:00 AM on Sunday in the UK. Qatar follows on November 29, and the season finishes in Abu Dhabi a week later, on December 6.

Following the weekends on Buffstreams

Every session in the tables above is a separate row on the Formula 1 page, under its own day, listed in Eastern Time and converted to local time by your browser. That handles all three clock changes for you. Each session opens its own page of feeds, and the Formula 1 page also lists MotoGP and other series when they race on the same weekend. The home page shows the next Formula 1 session beside every other sport on the day's schedule.
