The 2026 NFL season, week by week
The 2026 regular season has 18 weeks. Seattle beat New England 13-10 in the opener on Wednesday, September 9, and Week 18 falls on the second weekend of January 2027. The playoffs follow, with the Super Bowl in February. Every team plays 17 games and gets one bye. This year the byes run from Week 5 to Week 14, so most weekends in October and November have 13 to 15 games instead of 16; Week 12, Thanksgiving week, is the exception, with all 32 teams playing.
You always see a rolling seven days here, so on a Tuesday you see the coming Thursday, Sunday and Monday together, and from Thursday night the list rolls forward a day at a time.
How a week of games reads
A normal NFL week has a fixed shape, and the page follows it:
- Thursday Night Football: one game, 8:15 PM ET, streamed on Prime Video.
- Sunday morning in the West, early afternoon in the East: the 1:00 PM ET window, with the most games of the week.
- Sunday afternoon: late kickoffs at 4:25 PM ET, with a few at 4:05.
- Sunday night: the NBC prime-time game, 8:20 PM ET.
- Monday Night Football: ESPN and ABC, 8:15 PM ET.
Some Sundays this autumn have an extra European game, kicking off at 9:30 in the morning ET: London on October 11 and 18, Paris on October 25, Madrid on November 8 and Munich on November 15. The Mexico City game on November 22 is the Sunday night game instead. Under each day header the games are in kickoff order, and once a game kicks off it jumps to the top with a LIVE badge. Your browser converts the times, so the early Sunday kickoffs read 10:00 AM in California and, most weeks, 6:00 PM in London.
What an NFL game page shows
Click any game for its own page. Both teams and the kickoff time head that page, and during play the score refreshes on its own. The feeds come next. The Main row, when there is one, is our pick for that game and leads the list; Core rows and the other channel names are backups, each with its own mirrors. Feeds for an NFL game tend to appear during the last 30 minutes before kickoff, and the page keeps checking for new ones while you have it open.
Each 1:00 PM game has its own page and its own list, so following two games at once is just two tabs. Each player loads in a separate tab and the game page stays put, which makes switching to a backup quick if a stream stalls in the fourth quarter.
Game day tips
- Get to the game page about ten minutes early. The list fills while you wait, and you miss the rush of people clicking at 1:00 PM on the dot.
- If the player freezes, switch to the game page and try a different row; reloading a frozen one rarely helps.
- Games can move. Flex scheduling lets the league shift a Sunday game into a night slot during the season, and the schedule here picks up the new time, so check the day header before planning around a kickoff.
- The European games begin at 9:30 AM ET, or 6:30 AM in Seattle and Los Angeles. They are easy to miss if you only check the page after breakfast.
- A weak phone signal is the most common cause of buffering in a crowded bar or stadium. Switching to Wi-Fi often fixes it faster than switching rows.
