How boxing is listed
Boxing has no league calendar. Promoters announce cards weeks or months ahead, and the dates can still change. This page adds a card once its date and broadcast are confirmed and keeps it under its day header until it ends. Each row is a whole card, named after its main event, with the time the broadcast starts.
The biggest nights tend to be Saturdays, in the US, the UK and, more and more, Saudi Arabia. Smaller cards fill Thursdays and Fridays. Because there is no fixed season, the page can be full one weekend and almost empty the next.
Broadcast start versus ring walks
A boxing row shows when coverage of the card goes on air; the headline fight comes later. A typical card opens with two or three undercard fights, and the headline fighters walk to the ring two to four hours later. The exact time depends on how long the earlier fights last; a run of early stoppages brings the main event forward, while a few 12-rounders push it back.
Location changes the clock a lot. A card in the UK usually has its main event around 10:00 PM UK time, which is 5:00 PM ET. A card in Las Vegas puts the main event around 11:00 PM ET, early on Sunday morning in Europe. Cards in Riyadh have started at all kinds of hours for different audiences. Those times are written in Eastern Time and shown in your local time, and the countdown on each row is worked out from your clock too.
What a boxing page shows
Each card has a page with the event name, the start time and the feed list. A Main row comes first when one was picked for the card; the other channels follow with their numbered mirrors. Feeds often go live as the broadcast starts, during the undercard, which gives you time to find a stable one before the main event. Players load in a separate tab with the card page kept open behind.
Tips for fight night
- Open the page about an hour after the broadcast start. You will catch the end of the undercard and have the feed ready for the main event.
- Men's world title bouts go up to 12 rounds of three minutes, with one minute of rest after each. With the introductions, that is close to an hour from ring walks to the decision when it goes the distance.
- Late changes happen. A fight can fall through at the weigh-in, and the card name on the row follows the promoter's.
- For cards abroad, read the day header. A Saturday night card in Saudi Arabia can be a Saturday afternoon in the US.
