Privacy policy

What we collect

Buffstreams has no accounts, no sign-up and no ads, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers. We collect three kinds of information.

Visit statistics. Every page loads a counter from Histats, which records the page you looked at, the address that sent you, your browser and screen size and an approximate location based on your IP address. Histats sets its own cookies to tell new visits from returning ones. We only see the totals. Histats explains its own handling in its privacy policy, and you can block it with any ordinary content blocker without losing anything on this site.

Server logs. Like every web server, ours writes a log line for each request: your IP address, when the request came, which page it asked for, the referring page and the browser's user agent. Those logs help us fix faults and block abuse, and old entries are deleted on a rolling basis.

Messages you send. A note sent with the contact form or a Report button is kept along with the page it came from and the time it arrived. An email address is only stored if you type one in, and we only use it to reply. To have a message deleted, send a note through the contact page saying roughly when you sent it.

Other websites

Every stream link leads to a player on someone else's website. Those sites have their own cookies, ads and privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
